Program: Knot Your Average History Lesson

Join Park Rangers at Battle of Rivers Bridge State Historic Site for a special educational program.

Knot skills have always been useful, from ancient history to today and well into the future. In this beginner-level knot program, you will learn and practice a couple knots that were useful for Civil War soldiers, but just as useful to you: the bowline and sheet bend. After we spend some time learning how to tie them, you’ll get a chance to turn your knowledge into practical skills by completing a hands-on challenge.
