When 38 planes were diverted to a small Canadian community on September 11, 2001, it brought 7,000 international people to the doorstep of Gander, Newfoundland. While the world witnessed the worst acts of humanity, Gander residents comforted those who had “come from away.”
Since 1952, the Aiken Community Theatre (ACT), a nonprofit organization, has strived to entertain, educate, and enrich the community by providing quality theatre experiences.
