The tree-covered floodplain and hillsides provide pleasant scenery. Largemouth bass, hybrid bass, striped bass, crappie, catfish, redbreast, bream and perch are found in the river. Its abundant oxbows of “dead lakes” provide excellent fishing. The following areas in Aiken County have access to the Upper Savannah River: Jackson Landing on Landing Rd. Riverview Park Boat Ramp in North Augusta. Silver Bluff Landing on Bluff Landing Rd. near Jackson.
