Founded in 1904, Tyler Brothers department store has served the families of the South Carolina Midlands for more than 100 years, offering a broad assortment of products and services. Today, these include hardware, appliances, sporting goods, lawn and garden, clothing and more. With an extensive selection of clothing and boots, Tyler Brothers sells more work boots and work clothes than anyone in the Midlands, featuring a large assortment of Carhartt workwear.

Their Story

Tyler Brothers has grown much over the years. Founded by John Tyler in 1904 as a one room store in the crossroads of Perry, SC. Later, they expanded to five stores across the Midlands and then settled to the present single store in Wagener. From 1934-1996, in what is currently the lawn and garden department, the downstairs level of Tyler Brothers operated as a grocery store. In 1996, they moved the grocery store across the street into a new building. #FunFact: This building was the first in Wagener to have electric doors.
