St. Thaddeus Church

Founded in 1842, this Episcopal church is Aiken’s oldest church structure and has retained its Greek Revival style throughout remodeling. The cemetery on the property is the oldest active cemetery in Aiken and serves as the final resting place for prominent residents from Aiken’s past including Eulalie Salley, Frederick and Elise Willcox, Henry Ravenel, James M. Legare and Cyril Pascalis.
