Pickens-Salley House - SC Hwy Historical Marker. Built in 1829 in Edgefield County for SC Gov. Francis Pickens. Then in the 1920's noted suffragist and first female realtor in SC, Eulalie Chafee Salley and her husband purchased and rebuilt the house. In 1989, the house was gifted to USC Aiken and moved to its current location. This plantation house is an excellent example of Federal era architecture.
