Their Story

In 2011, Nader and Lisa Khatib opened Laziza Mediterranean Grill pursuing Nader’s dream of opening his own restaurant. “Since I was a little boy, I’ve wanted to open restaurants. Mediterranean cuisine wasn’t represented in the CSRA prior to opening the first location in Evans, Ga, so Nader knew that if they were going to pioneer this type of cuisine, it had to be done right. The name Laziza means “delicious” in Arabic, thus the restaurant focuses on bringing fresh, high-quality, flavorful food to every guest.

Laziza has since expanded to include a second location in downtown Augusta, a catering division, a food truck and a third location in Aiken.
