Carolina Dragway

The Carolina Dragway is family-friendly a 1/4 mile National Hot Rod Association Sanctioned dragstrip located in Aiken. Originally built in 1957 by LB Steed, the dragstrip hosts multiple events throughout the year from weekly test-n-tune sessions, ET points series, bracket races, no prep/grudge races, huge heads-up events and more. On-site concessions available. Spectators welcome.

In the event of inclement weather, racing events will be canceled. Please check their socials or contact Carolina Dragway for more information.

Check out our calendar for a list of upcoming events.

#FunFact: The dragstrip’s nickname, The House of Hook, was earned from the strip having great traction for racers. To “hook” basically means tires grip the pavement rather than spinning. Carolina Dragway proudly offers top-quality track prep to maintain this prestigious title.
